60's in February In Wisconsin???

Monday, February 20, 2017

It has been absolutely amazing here with the temps at or just above 60 for the last couple of days. That weather has certainly helped the real estate market. I think the Spring buying season has already begun. It's been a very busy couple of weeks.

I did get the FITFLOP (NOT FLIP FLOP) tennis shoes and they are awesome. I used to get cortisone shots in my heels every 3 months or so for heel spurs. Then my pilates instructor told me about Fitflops. They are absolutely awesome!! That is all I have worn for the last year and a half. I have had no problems with my feet since.

I made a plan for getting back in the saddle. Doc says I can't get jarred for 2 weeks after the epidural injection. I can ride, but I can't get jarred. Mind you, I haven't listened to him in the past which is probably why I had so much trouble with my neck after the one last July. So, my plan is to spend a couple of weeks riding one of the lesson horses. I don't have to worry about being jarred as she barely moves. I think it is smarter to do this and then get on JC again after the two weeks are up. JC is a show horse and he can be unpredictable. At least this way, I am riding.

Still going strong with my steps. Did 108,000 in the last 7 days. I absolutely love my fitbit. Took me a few years to realize what a good tool it is for exercising and keeping me motivated. Went shopping Friday night for some t-shirts that don't look like night shirts. I am solidly back in petites. Not buying too much right now as I don't know how long I will be this size. Just taking it one day at a time :)

Sounds like positive things in your world. Nice weather, good feet, and new clothes. Good for you.

We normally aren't as cold as you, but it's still unseasonably warm here too. I've had windows open and heat off all weekend and today - I open them any chance I get in the winter to air the place out, but this is spring like weather and it feels extra good. Tomorrow is predicted to be nearly 80 degrees. Yikes! I hope it doesn't instigate a false bloom in the trees and plants only to freeze and kill everything. That happens every few years. My mom's poor apple tree will bud out, and then freeze, and then get no fruit at all that year.
