Updates: running, eating, scale, PT, EPCOT

1. Running Training
This morning I started at daybreak and ran 6 miles. My training plan called for a "Magic Mile", one mile run about as fast as you can. I ran it in 9:08, :21 seconds faster than 2 weeks ago. But I'd need to be another 21 seconds faster to tie my personal record of 8:47. Nonetheless, I'm happy with my recent progress. My target race is Senior Games 5K on March 11th.

2. Eating Streak
I'm doing fine following my eating plan. Good for me!!

3. Scale
After 4 days of middle "2", weighing in the 120's, I've now had 3 days of 130.x. All I can do is stick to the food plan and know that eventually it will be reflected on the scale. Wish I had learned this lesson decades ago. It still isn't easy! I want to yell at the scale, "that's not the weight I deserve."

4. Physical Therapy
I'd give me an A- or B+ sticking to my stretching and strengthening program I got from the physical therapist on January 16th. I feel like it is strengthening my back and abs.

We are going to EPCOT again today and will see the final performance of Disney on Broadway. Lion King is the focus today. Granddaughters are out of school, DSIL is off work, DD is taking the day off, so there will be 6 of us. I packed food, but may not eat it, depending on where the group stops to eat and what is available.

6. Beck
I never quite finished blogging The Beck Diet Solution, but those final chapters are sitting on my brain and I'm trying to put my thoughts together on these topics. The achievable vs. maintainable weight is one of the topics I'm thinking about most. Stay tuned....
