I can totally relate! February is the worst! We plan a trip somewhere warm and sunny each Feb just to help with the dark and depression of the month. I will be so glad to see spring again! Have an awesome day! Heather

I can totally relate. I'm not, by nature, an extrovert. I tend to be shy, self-conscious, and lacking in confidence around people, so I avoid the very thing I need. Then I eat. I used to think boredom was my biggest trigger, but I'm starting to think that it's a combination of boredom and loneliness. Thanks for sharing your feelings. You're right - it does help to know you're not the only one.

    Thinking of you...

Good insights that "lonely" and "alone" are not necessarily synonymous. My best friend of 30+ years and I are fond of saying "We're in it alone, together."

When that ugly little voice rears its head, I very quickly nip it in the bud by telling it to shut up! Then I go and find something pleasant to do, either for myself or for someone else.

Boy oh boy... can I relate. When that negative/lonely chorus in my head starts singing the blues it drags me down "right quick" if I'm not vigilant. So appreciative of you sharing your experience!

Sigh--I too feel alone way too often.
