The weather is gorgeous! The kids are doing very good. My efforts to follow my training plan aimed at improving my running times, my 5K time in particular, is going well. I'm playing with my new VivosmartHR and learning new things. Even got it synched to SparkPeople today, I think.

I made a crunchy cucumber recipe today that is quite tasty. Think I'll take it to the Galloway end-of-the-season picnic on March 4th!

I'm celebrating 41 days in a row of good eating, with no overeating! There have been times I haven't counted, so I'm not absolutely certain what my record is. I'm just about to get to the 8 year mark of living at a normal weight, but reality is that I'm still plagued with intermittent overeating. I know I have gotten to 45 days before of good eating, but that is the most I know, probably in my entire life. (Remember the doctor put me on skim milk at one year of age.) So it is a little premature to celebrate, but I'm feeling like giving myself credit, streamers, firecrackers, and the usual wonderful support from my SparkFriends to get me to what I think is a new all-time record!

To give you the fuller picture, here is Natalie showing off her new pierced ears with Make A Wish Foundation earrings. Her mom said she didn't even flinch!

Here's my cuck salad and showing off my Valentine tulips, too. I'll put the recipe in SparkRecipes. It's simple, especially if you have a mandolin.

I love palm trees and the neighborhood is just full of them! Love my walks and runs, especially this time of year. Notice there is one tree in the background that knows it is still winter. Some people say Florida doesn't have all 4 seasons. We do. Just all at the same time!! You should see the live oak leaves falling now. For spring, see my blog of yesterday. For summer, well, I ran in a tank top this morning; came inside to change because I was too hot in sleeves!

VivosmartHR is giving me lots of good data and I'm committed to using it to get even healthier and more active.

What makes you feel strong and healthy? For me it is playing with grandkids, living actively outside, feeling grateful for all the good things in my life, and eating good stuff in proper amounts.
