Beck Refresh Day #42: Practice, Practice, Practice

Today Dr. Beck congratulate me for learning the skills that will help me get thinner and stay thinner. Thank you Dr. Beck! And now I need to continue practicing these skills. As I mentioned yesterday, I have my checklist ready to go. It's easy, it's close at hand and I plan to use it. I also plan to continue to give myself credit, read my advantages card and my other response cards and talk back to my (inevitable) sabotaging thoughts. I will also continue to plan, monitor and track my food and build on my current exercise program.
Yesterday I weighed myself and I was back at the weight I as before my two weeks of travel. Well, that's reasonable, I said to myself, because the first week I went way off track. But I was still a little disappointed. And then I took some key measurements, as I try to do monthly, and I felt a little more discouraged because they seemed the same as last time. Oh well of well oh well.... But I when I went to record them, I saw that in fact, I lost 6 inches total on 6 measurements, including 2 inches each off my hips and waist. Now THAT feels like progress! And this morning when I weighed, I was down almost one more pound. It feels so good to see results!
I am enjoying this rainy Sunday.... A little work, then a little shopping trip. We're celebrating Valentines Day this evening with a nice dinner out, but I have a plan and I will stick to it... I'd rather be thin!
