A New Experience I Don't Want To Repeat
Thursday, February 09, 2017
I just got out of the hospital after six days on IV's to fight flu and pneumonia. I had the very best care available and I was so impressed in how much better hospital care now is than the last time I was in one, which was 30 years ago. The doctor and the nurses and other staff were so skilled and compassionate and the medicines were so effective that I felt 100% better when I left than when I went in. I learned a great deal about both flu and pneumonia which I didn't know.
I had had flu before, but never pneumonia. I didn't realize how serious it was and I now know it will be a long time before I'm back to all my usual activities. I'm extremely grateful for all the prayers of my family and friends and to God for his healing touch. I'm following doctor's orders to the letter - taking my medicines, trying to eat 3 good meals a day, and not trying to do too much and get overtired. Pneumonia was a brand new experience for me and I definitely do not want to repeat it.
