One of my goals is to journal 3 times a week. Sticking with that frequency should be do-able.

It is pretty outside today. The rain has passed, however I am grateful that it came...as this state has been in a drought for many a moon. I am listening to my amazon echo playing a speech by Neale Donald Walsch.

I ate a salad for breakfast and continue on with black coffee. After reading the China Study I am trying to commit to being vegetarian. I have done so since October of 2016. I also watched the documentary I have in my amazon video account, "Hungry For Change", yesterday.

I do not purchase soda to drink at home any longer. The main beverage of choice in my home is ice water...even my 9 year old son has acclimated to that path. The film discussed how those starting a diet ended up heavier when they finished, that those who drink diet soda succumb to the same fate. I am that person.

I have not been this heavy since after I gave birth to my son 9 years ago. I also have been on every diet under the sun and lost weight only to now be here and miserable. Diets don't work...obviously.

I believe last year at this time I had joined weight watchers...a great program...not knocking it; just didn't have the where-with-all to "diet". Prior to that I had been part of my company's diet course...which I had to pay for weekly as well and also didn't help kick my butt into gear.

So, I struggle with motivation. Maybe some of you have that issue as well. I recall exercising my backside off to remain overweight...and then obtaining injuries that made it so I couldn't walk without pain. I remember joining Jenny Craig and subsisting on the mini-meals and weekly weigh-ins. I made it to the holy grail...but never remained there for long.

I am my problem. Today, I am focusing on baby steps to get me to the promised land...that land where I can actually move freely and not feel overwhelmed by reps and steps. The land where I make the healthiest choice for me in that moment. I suffer from all-or-nothing disease. Trying to remain in remission today.

I was a vegetarian in high school and it didn't work out well for me. I hope it works well for you.
