New way of Rewarding Myself
Sunday, February 05, 2017
Hey, I have been thinking about our goals stuff, and want to submit my ideas to you to see what you and the other leaders think.
Rather than have just "goal setting", how about "setting goal and achieving it". It is very easy to SET a goal, but it takes work to COMPLETE a goal. Just ask ME! I set goals every day, and sometimes finish them, but most of the time I don't. So I don't think we should earn points for just SETTING a goal.
The other thing is the NEE (no evening eating) thing. I understand the concept, but it seems pretty dumb to not be able to log in on that one until bedtime or the next morning. I mean, how can I take credit for NEE before I end the day?? And should having an orange or other fruit in place of dessert be counted as NEE?
After a day dealing with DH and his Alzheimer's, and he goes to bed, I want to reward myself for making it through another day. I usually choose fruit. It makes me feel kinder to myself and it is like a gift for still being vertical. To sit in my chair, soft music playing, and enjoying my "treat' means a lot. It is my time to care about me, and to be kind to myself.
What do you think?
