Egg day

Friday, February 03, 2017

I went to Millinocket today after chores, I have been going every other week to sell eggs, it was no problem to sell them all today, guess word is getting around now that I am back. It was a cold day, I brought a thermos of nice hot turkey vegatable soup with me, I hardly ever eat out. I was only there for a couple hours, I made sure I called the elderly couple to ask them if they wanted eggs, so when I got down to 6 doz left I packed up. I was sad to learn her husband passed away two days ago, he was such a nice guy, they have only been married for about 10 years. Neil was 89 years old and had a poor last 6 months, starting with a heart attack. As long as I have known him I never really knew his last name, he answered the phone with her last name, possibly he took her name.

This must be the week for people to pass away, there was a guy in Medway that I frequently bought unplained wood from for the barn. I have known him for over 25 years, such a happy person, loved his wood mill, and still sawed out wood at 85 years old.

I noticed on the way to Millinocket that the Amish apparently are going to dismantle the barn next door, sad to see it go.

Wondering what everyone does with all their spark goodie points, I am somewhat lax about remembering to give out spark goodies, but even if I gave them out daily I would spend a lifetime giving them out, I now have 221162 spark goodie points, I frequently spin and get anywhere from 50 to 1000 extra points, my sparkpoints are 225662. Guess I need to go on a spark goodie binge!

Calliope is stealing the show lately, she has taken to sleeping on the pellet stove, I noticed she was laying in front of it so I put a bed there for her, she likes to stare at the flames. But the last couple days she sleeps on top.

Another lovely photo but keep them coming. I love cats but DH is a sneezer when cats are around. I think it is habit not allergy, he does not want another one. We have the two stray dogs and I love them
Keeps the cays coming and send out the goodies. Yesterday my log in is 2,400.
I just noticed today it is 2,401 emoticon
Great for the fresh eggs up there in the cold. Stay warm. (((HUGS)))) Pat in Augusta.

It's sad to see people pass that bring joy to your life just from a short visit or a smile. The good thing is at least you guys to know them and have a fond memory.

Your kitty is adorable. Mine also likes to be by the warmth. She like to be on the radiator or in front of the fireplace.

You are living in a world where you can
see the changes of the seasons and see
those you know pass on. In the city, hardly
anyone takes note. I see the same in my
little town. So many of the older generation
are gone and they were active well into the
    later years.

Calliope is a doll! Sorry about your two friends passing.

I don't give out nearly enough goodies either! I did send one out to Pat so I could check off a bingo square! I think I should send out more!!!

Your life sounds lovely. Unfortunately I am stuck in a cold concrete jungle.
