February 2, 2017 A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP
Some people don’t know what God's will is because they don't listen. They don’t take time to find out. It's sad but true. People think they can't find out what His will is for them so they do nothing except use that as an excuse not to do His will. However, God has a purpose for all people. His will is written in His word. His plan and purpose for each of us can be discovered with a personal relationship with Him. If we don't know God’s will for us, it means we don't have a right relationship with Him and we aren’t trying to find out.
2 John 1:9 "Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son." (NLT)
1. List some great relationships you have.
2. Write about your relationship with God.
3. Pray asking Him to strengthen your relationship with Him.
4. Seek His word and His will knowing He will guide your paths.
Dear Lord, we want a right relationship with You. We want to get to know more and more about You every day. Help us to know what to do today to draw closer to You. Help us to remember to read Your word and know Your will. We want to do what You have called us to do. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God's word holds the wisdom we need to know and do God's will.
Excuses do nothing but keep us from doing God's will.
When we choose to wander away from God's word, we will not find His will.
A right relationship with God is one where we are following Him and obeying His word.
When we seek God, we will find His will for us.
Psalm 22:26b "All who seek the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy." (NLT)
Seek the Lord and His will. Praise Him for all He does and all He is going to do.
