So I am in week 3 and I'm feeling pretty good overall. I had a great big loss week one, a tiny loss week 2 and now in week 3 the scale is up a pound. A few years back I would have seen that and been really discouraged. I probably would have talked myself into just eating whatever I want because this stuff isn't working anyway. I know that's my downfall so I'm working hard this time around to keep the positive attitude and keep moving forward despite the occasional disappointments.
I went above my calories slightly 2 days this week because of a lot of celebrating I chose to do. I'm cool with that! I like parties, I love cake! But you know what... my body doesn't love cake! I felt pretty sluggish after eating all that sugar and I know for sure it made my brain kick into another gear because I was feeling like I couldn't get enough to eat and my cravings were fierce for a couple of days after.
All in all though I have to say I'm still feeling really good about where I'm at. I'm sleeping better. My moods are better. I'm capable of responding to stress better. I'm getting used to having water as my main beverage choice. I think the extra water alone is having awesome effects on my well-being.
I do need to get a little more serious about fitness for February. I feel like MOST days I have my eating under control. I now need to make it a habit to increase my activity level. So for February I'd like to do the following:
Continue to log all food
Continue to drink lots of water
Continue getting good sleep
Start walking for at least 10 minutes every weekday at the office
Start taking vitamins
Start stability ball, medicine ball, strength training and yoga exercises for at least 15 minutes 3 times a week
