Teachers around America are getting new students around this time of year. When semesters end and new classes start, our class lists become a mishmash of former faces and transferred ones. It's a bit stressful -- kind of like Day 1 all over -- and I could see the stress showing up on my tracker.

First, recognize the problem. Yes, this is a stressful time. Yes, it doesn't help that Daughter had a dance competition on Saturday and performs at a college basketball tonight (which means third day in a row with no fitness). Recognize and then recover.

My recovery:
Pack a light meal to eat in the car on the way to tonight's game to avoid stadium food.
Take the stairs at the arena. Make a game of it so the 9-year-old has some fun before the game starts.
Plan on fitness tomorrow. What's going on tomorrow night? Nothing! So plan on a taekwondo class or a night at Xperience Fitness.
