The Power of Will

Thursday, January 19, 2017

The power of Will. Will Power... who is this Will and why does he seem to be there for some of us and elude the rest of us?

Is it because some of us can't see the forest through the trees? Why is it that some of us see every gol'darn tree that there is?

I know that this is a journey. Really, it's more of a roller coaster ride. I'm not great on roller coasters. I love the thrill, but I usually end up puking, but I get on them just in case THIS is the time I don't. I do believe that every day is a blessing. I am also not going to quit the journey, because while I am not losing pounds, I am nourishing my body with healthy foods and am more active than I have ever been. Well, except for when Will Power sided with me at one point. He left and Life was not as good a friend... then there were all those stinking trees again.

And I know that at some point of this journey, I am going to find Will Power. He can run... quite possibly in the forest of trees, but I am going to find Will Power.

Do or do not, there is no try. ~Master Yoda

Today I will do.

A fellow sparker blogged about willpower this week too. It's a hot topic as this winter is deepening in gray moods and slowly turning us to ice!
Did you know that willpowe means "energetic determination"? I find the word "determination" speaks to my soul in a way willpower doesn't because, I have a vert hectic relation with Will Power!
And it may be a roller coaster sort of ride but it will never make you puke, because it's good for you... as for roller coasters, well, not so much lol (to my taste!)
Have a great weekend, you got this!

You can do this and get in the right mindset! I know because I've been there, many times - in a place with no willpower. But I never give up and keep trying so it always comes back. Surround yourself with positivity and motivation in any way you can. Willpower is a muscle that needs to be trained. You got this! emoticon

Sometimes we reach a plateau and it can be HARD to break. If you wish to open your nutrition tracker (that if you use sparks,,, many have other programs which of course is fine) I'd like to see where your calorie range is at. Or you can always just write to me and also what your exercise is.

I fell into as do MANY of the "diet" set mind. "If I don't eat much, I'll lose more" which doesn't happen. instead our bodies think we are starving them,,, and they DO stop losing. I did this during the summer challenge for 3 weeks. It kept me from hitting my 5% (I made all the other ones). It is SCARY to INCREASE our calories,,, our mind set,, yup ,, eat to much GAIN. But not eating enough is just as bad.

Cheri, MaryAnn and I love to help any out who are on a plateau. Pick one of us or the 3 of us together in an email (or 2 of us etc) and we'd LOVE to help you bust this and within a week, have ya going down again hon.

Your doing so well with how healthy you are !! We LOVE having ya in the kennel and now hey "Your a BIG DAWG now" (sang in the tune of the diaper commercial). LOL I have a friend who was ALWAYS singing this to me,,, and I always CRACKED UP !!!
