Friday the 13th

It is totally Friday the 13th! I forgot my chicken meatballs for my veggie soup, and then I realized I forgot all my workout clothes at home! Yup, the Friday the 13th vibes attacked me today! However it is alright, Hubby is totally down with going to the gym tonight and I went out to lunch with some coworkers and we were able to let off some steam! You know that is good for the soul! LOL
So an update on how I have been doing....well I have been kicking some major BUM! Seriously it is Day 19 and while I did miss two workouts last weekend (making up by doing doubles this weekend) I have been SO much better. I have not gone 3 days without a workout, I have not missed a Monday and I even did Yoga while I was sick for some active recovery. Which I firmly believe was a reason why I recovered so quickly, shakeology being my #1 reason!
The BEST part of the last 19 days.....I am HAPPY. I feel it deep down to my toes, and it keeps a smile blasted on my face!
My BFF/Sister and I keep telling ourselves daily how great we feel, and how in just 19 short days we feel different this year. We both really feel like this is OUR year. I kinda chuckle to myself because we both have done a lot of school online to get our degrees, and there have been a lot of "last minute studying and papers"....and I feel like that is what this year is for me. I vowed years ago when I quit smoking and gained a bunch of weight, that I would not go into my 40's overweight. So here I am a year from hitting 40, it is now my crunch time! It is that do or die moment for me, the put up or shut up! You know what....I am OK with that! If it takes this "crunch" time to give me the healthiest year of my life, to prove to myself that I can set my goals and achieve them health wise, I will take it!!
So the weekends are my hardest struggle still, especially with football still being on. I mean really how can a girl not watch football without at least one beer? Isn't that like impossible. Then with the beer comes chips and such. UGH!!! Well tomorrow I am hoping to get some buffalo cauliflower bites cooked up before the game to help with that. I'm also cooking a roast so I pray that knowing I have a good healthy dinner waiting for me will be good. The beer....not sure about that one yet. I may pick up some Bai drinks because they are yummy and with them I feel like I'm having a mixed drink,,,,but I'm not! Maybe I can fool myself and put it in a adult beverage glass! LOL
Well, here I am rambling again....Hope that everyone has had a great week. If you haven't just break things down to one day at a time, one workout at a time. Things will get better!
