Day 98 - 100 Days of Gratitude

Friday, January 13, 2017

Just have to say that I am so grateful to have been a live witness to President Barack Obama's 8-year presidency. He actually tried to unify us as Americans, was sensitive to our losing so many lives of young men serving as troops in foreign lands and tried to bring them home, brought us out of a recession, accomplished much of what he promised re healthcare, women's rights, children's care... notwithstanding unprecedented obstruction. In the face of the most demeaning comments, he retained his grace, humility, style, intelligence and humor and thereby earned much respect. I am grateful to have witnessed that.

God bless America.

The BEST part of his entire speech was his love and call out to beautiful Michelle and his daughters...he is everything that the incoming derp is NOT!

It will make things doubly hard to lose such a beacon of light, love, respect, and intelligence and having his absence filled by such a treacherous piece of scum~s~ville. emoticon

I find myself feeling angry, sad, disappointed, and actually frightened thinking about this complete narcissist that somehow slunk into the white house!

All I can hope is that the people that he duped so soundly realize they were SCAMMED, and SCAMMED good and take matters into their own hands...I wouldn't be a BIT surprised if karma doesn't wreck havoc with this selfish, indulgent, scheming piece of ...okay...well...enough...but you know EXACTLY how I feel now and so does everyone else in Sparksville!

I also LOVED his good-bye to our Joe Biden...we met him back in Des Moines on a summer vacation once and he IS just as personable and easy going in person as he is in his official role. What HAPPENED to men like them? emoticon

I live in the UK so have no direct experience of President Obama. However, what I have seen of him on television and read / heard about in the news, has really impressed me.

President Obama did a lot more then he is given credit for and was a very good example of example of a mobile person in his actions and speech. He brought dignity to the whitehouse.

Being a Canadian I am looking at this as a person not from a political view. There have not been many fami,Inez in the Whitehouse who have gone through eight years without scandal. I think thst is pretty amazing. Very classy guy...
