Where Does My Joy Come From - 1/12/17

Where does my joy come from today....

.... had a rude and nasty client on the phone today and I did something, I have never done before since none of my other "pour honey on them" tactics worked on them. I actually asked them very gently to please have a little patience with me. It didn't escalate, but I was certainly glad when the phone call came to an end. Bliss.

..... an ex-co-worker stopped in to buy some cat food and brought me a book she had bought in Germany years ago. A really good Swedish crime novelist. The book is written in German, which I have not read in a long time. That was a really nice surprise!

.... my poodle Bunny was at the groomer's today. She is offended someone touched her toes, but she looks amazing and she smells like a little rose. Improvement 1000% :)

What a great day! And a fresh-from-the-groomer's poodle is a joy to behold. Does Bunny prance around, conveying "Am I not gorgeous now?" the way my standard did, right when he came home, and for at least the next day or two, tail perked up high?

it always fascinates me why people get so "rude and nasty" when they have a problem. I just take a deep breath and calmly try to work with people to solve it.

Dealing with the public sure isn't an easy thing. They try your patience to no end. My mantra when I had to deal with some very nasty, rude people was "this shall pass". I kept saying it in my head when I wanted to let out my true feelings, when I knew that wouldn't accomplish anything but frustrate everyone more.

So you are right when you say "Bliss".

What a sweet gift the book was! How fun! And I love it when my dogs come back from the groomer! They smell good, and they are soft, and I just want to snuggle them like a teddy bear.
