We are bracing ourselves for a winter storm that is predicting significant ice. Yesterday we broke a record high temperature and tomorrow they say freezing rain will start around noon lasting through the weekend. Mother Nature is really showing her bi-polar side to us mid-westerner's. I just hope that people listen to the forecasts and stay home. I've heard that the local stores are running out of bread and other supplies so that leads me to believe that several are preparing. We just had an unexpected ice storm less than a month ago that caught a lot of people off guard. The weather forecasters stated that the temperature would be in the 40's but that didn't happen and the rain turned into ice causing many accidents and blocked roads. We're hoping that people learned from this catastrophe and will stay home.
I have decided to stop at the store on my way home and if they are out of stuff, than I'll adjust my menu. I didn't feel like going out at lunch and fighting with the crowds and traffic. For the most part, I have plenty of stuff on hand to get us by these next few days. Actually it will be more for my husband to get by since I will be at work. Wishing everyone a safe, warm and fun-filled weekend. Keep on working on those goals!
I hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the weather by watching from afar or outside embracing it.
