Rescue animals I saw
Saturday, January 07, 2017
This is late, because I saw these animals at Christmas. I went to my son's house, 3 1/2 hours away usually. Took longer this time because of fog all the way. He has a new girlfriend, Heather, and she has 3 kids. He has 2 and he has custody of them. Heather is living with her mom at the moment but will be moving into a house she's buying after they close on Jan. 11th. I hadn't met her yet. We went to her family home, where her 2 brothers, their families, 2 grandparents, and the brother of one sister-in-law were. So I was in a house full of people I didn't know but it turned out well.
While there I met one of Heather's sister-in-laws, Tara. Tara has never had kids and has some rescue animals she adopted. Four horses, 2 dogs, and 7 cats. We got along great and she invited me and my son and Heather (plus kids of both) to go see her animals on Christmas day after we ate, because I was interested in them. A couple of the horses she's had for years and years.
This horse is Six (with Tara). SIx is about 35 years old and blind. He went blind because the people who owned him before she rescued him didn't get treatment for an infection in his eyes that could have been treated. We had to talk to him, so he knew where we were.
I can't remember the names of the other 3 horses. Must be old age ha ha. Another one is also close to 30. The others are younger. Here are the other 3. My pictures don't come out as well as I would like with my phone. I think it's my fault. I like ;my regular digital camera better but didn't have it with me.
She also has tons and tons of unicorn, dragon, and angel knick knacks, pictures, plates, etc.. I loved looking at those. She has so many she has many in boxes because she has no room for them. I so much enjoyed looking at the ones that were out. I was so glad she invited us to see the animals and the collection. The two dogs were very friendly. A couple of the cats were too but others were more reserved around us and wouldn't let us near. But I'm so glad that there are people who can rescue animals and are willing to do this. Tara is really devoted to her animals.
