Accomplished one resolution

I finished my first book of 2017. It was The Swing by Tracy Reifkind. Its basically how she lost weight through healthy eating and swinging a Kettlebell. That's it. Her free workouts on Youtube are based on On the minute training. When you first begin, you are swinging a bell for 10 reps in 20 seconds followed by 40 seconds of rest. Eventually the workouts will go up to 2 full minutes of training with 30 seconds of rest or 45 seconds. I forget but so far I did my first 100 swings of 2017. I must say I feel pretty good. I'm working on my form and I seem to be sore in all the right places. LOL.

I'm trying to eat better too. My colonoscopy was clear. Its good and bad. So I likely have IBS which has no cure and that's bad but I'm glad I'm not worse. I have some trigger foods that I try to avoid to feel better overall but I'm still in mourning over not being able to eat pizza anymore. I will probably have to make my own pizza with a rice flour crust, non garlic marinara and cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella. I'm doing a lot more cooking but I am realizing that I can do it. I just have to get over hating it so much. LOL. I actually cooked for my parents tonight and my dad stayed with me and my son while my husband was away this week and he lost three pounds. We talked a lot about our slow metabolisms. LOL.

I am thinking about doing food prep. As much as I hate leftovers it would be a lot easier to eat already prepared food than have to cook for my self every day twice a day. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I guess the next thing I need to address is my anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I plan to make an appt with a doctor next week to address this. Wish me luck.

    Think of the food as "Planned Overs" and not "Leftovers". Use the second half a little differently. Make a roast or a whole chicken, and you can use the meat in many ways, even freezing some for future use. I think there is a cookbook called Cook Once and Eat Twice or something like that.     I would rather have IBS than something like Crones. I would also hate to not be able to eat pizza but right now I have been making pizza like things without the crust and they are okay. I try to make enough for 2 meals a lot of the time as cooking constantly does get old. I have a doctors appointment soon too. Ugh.

    There are some good motivational articles on depression. Exercise and eating right helps. I'm going for my colonoscopy and GI test at the end of the month and I'm not looking forward to it. Praying it will come back clear. Kettleballs look fun, but I'm a little afraid of my 63 year old shoulders. I guess I'll stick to my WATP videos. Slow metabolisms take a lot of work. I used to joke that in a famine I would be the last woman standing slower to starve than anyone. Now I've lost 26 pounds. This stuff works!
