Small Goals to Reach Big Goals

Aiming for your full goal can be overwhelming to say the least. I've broken my big goals into little goals.

Loosing 23 pounds sounds like a lot. In reality I have broken it down into two goals:
1) Loose 10 pounds by the end of March.
2) Loose additional 13 pounds by the end of October.
So, for the first three months this year I'm working hard, concentrating on nutrition and fitness, to loose an average of less than 4.5 pounds a month. Something that is completely do-able with determination and commitment. After that I'm looking at an average loss goal of just over 1.5 pounds a month.

100 ounces of water a day also sounds like a huge amount, but here are my facts:
1) I was able to drink 100oz a day when I made a point to do so while producing breast milk
2) I hit 80+ oz today.
In order to hit a daily goal of 100 oz, I'll break it down to a goal of 20oz per meal and snack. This is the size of my water bottle, so easily track-able. Obviously I give enough time time to make this achievable (7-9, 9-11, 12-1, 2-4, 6-10).
