He was eating A LOT of calories from beverages. I told him it was probably 1,000 calories a day. That ALONE caused the weight to fall off. Then he, on his own, dropped the sugar (desserts my husband likes as he weighs 160 at 6 feet). Portion control was the next natural step, and he started that in his own.
