Positive Self Talk

Today was my first weigh-in of my SparkPeople reboot. A lot of defeating thoughts came up this week, as I began anew:
"If I had stuck with this the last couple times, I would have hit my goal by now."
"I'm frustrated that my current weight is 13# higher than my last logged weight."
"Ugh I hate how I look in photos."
So, it's time to reframe these a bit.
My highest weight, over ten years ago, was 30# more than I weigh now. The fact that I lost that much and kept at least that much off tells me I can succeed and reach my goal.
I'm not waiting to be "thin enough to be happy." I can make positive changes and still live and approve of myself as I am RIGHT NOW.
I got married last year, to a loving, supportive man who thinks I'm beautiful, inside and out. Every time I see myself in a photo, if a negative response crops up, I will remind myself to try to view it through his eyes.
Happy New Year, and remember not to say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to your best friend.
