Reflecting 2016

Saturday, December 31, 2016

As my 41st New Year begins on this earth, I remember good years and not so great years. I noticed that there is a clear correlation between my decisions and the outcomes that make up my life. There are also random moments of "how the hell could this happen". No warnings, just life dealing out some unwanted twists. 2016 was a year of unbridled change for my whole family. We moved across the US, grieved over our son and daughters diagnosis, lost loved ones, and saw a political atmosphere that at times made me ashamed.

Today is my last day with this year and I have decided to take this time to clean house, literally and figuratively. I am going to go into the New Year with a smile and a dream. I am proud of my strong self, and believe that I can help to make 2017 into a great year, curve balls and all. I am the sucker that does resolutions every year. Many get accomplished, many do not. That won't stop me from trying again. New Year always brings new hope for me. I am grateful for that.

Happy New Years Eve
