December in Review

This month has been good and bad.
I am keeping up with my walking everyday. I have a goal of 10,000 - 15,000 steps a day. I am close to losing 20lbs total. I even walked outside in the snow HA! If I can't walk outside, I get on the treadmill or just walk in the house. I still do my first 30 minute walk first thing in the morning.
The trip to Vegas was wonderful!!! Tim McGraw put on a great show. They weren't overly rehearsed and it was really good. The rest of the trip was great as well. We walked a lot. It floored me how easy it was. We parked to go to eat and the valet said it was a really long walk to the restaurant from where we parked. It took 5 minutes. We also walked through Red Rock Canyon. It was beautiful. We relaxed and just enjoyed the time away.
The real estate market has been slow as it always is during the holidays. I have a couple of new buyers. It floors me how buyers don't realize how much money they don't have. They always start by looking at high end houses and then realize they can't borrow nearly that much. I get frustrated as it is a waste of my time to go around showing houses just for buyers to find out that they can't afford them. When I ask if buyers are pre-approved, they always say yes even if they are not. Oh well. The crazy Spring market will be here soon enough.
I didn't get to spend as much time with JC as I would have liked. The weather got really cold. Then my daughter got really sick. Then my husband got sick. Now, my trainer is on vacation for the next week. The times I have ridden him, he has been very good. My trainer has said my stamina is much better since I lost the weight.
I still do Pilates 2 days a week and it has really helped strengthen my core. I am now doing intermediate Pilates.
I am so close to being able to fit in Petite sizes again. I am too small now for women's, but not small enough for petite. So I am biding my time. Clothes I couldn't zip last year are now too big. Believe me, I am not complaining.
I am taking the weight loss one week at a time. I am not looking at an overall goal because that would probably de-rail me. I don't care if I just lose a very small amount each week just as long as I lose. I am going to have my riding suit taken in in March no matter where my weight is. I know this isn't a marathon. I am not getting discouraged. I am just going to keep on doing what I'm doing because it is working!
Overall, I am pretty pleased with where I am at :)
