Easing back into healthy

I have been MIA from SP since the end of November. Here's what's been happening ; the first week of December I had 3 Christmas parties to attend (1 of which I had to organize). Also I had to have all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped by Dec 7th. Why so early? Well I was leaving on a trip to Cuba for 2 weeks and I didn't get home until the wee hours of the 23rd. I went with my husband & a couple of our good friends.
We have been to Cuba 10 times now and it was the 1st time that we ever took in a trip to Havana(Cuba's capitol city). Any other trip we only had a week & never wanted to use a whole day for that excursion. But having 2 weeks this time we made it a priority to go and it was beautiful. So glad that we finally did it. Our friends had never been South before so this was a great trip for them.
So anyone who has ever been to Cuba knows that they are not famous for their wonderful food. So if you don't love bland rice & beans and alot of fish then times can get tough. However Cuba does make the very best bread & croisants in the world. Also their little bananas & ice cream top the list. But I never missed a meal or went hungry. Buffet style eating is never good for the diet. So we ate; drank & laid around in the sun for 2 weeks. Total vacation & relaxation!!!!
I went on vacation to enjoy myself & not worry about my weight. But I'm not throwing in the towel I plan to get through the holidays without too much dedication to healthy but I promise that by mid January exercise & healthy eating will be part of my everyday life again.
