Three has less calories than 4

Sunday, December 18, 2016

I had to remind myself of this today. I did great through breakfast and lunch. Even at Starbucks. I had 400 calories left till my low end. We had fish sticks and tater tots for supper. And just like that, I was over. :( So I had a piece of chocolate coal. And another. And another. Finally managed to walk away. I'm not too happy. This challenge hasn't been going well. I'm two weeks in, and while the scale hasn't gone up yet, I feel the difference in my pants. I will not regain what I lost! I have done so well for the last 3 months, except the last two. I WILL GET BACK ON TRACK!!!

So I read this and see a woman who made good choices for most of the day and when things when south she still managed to walk away. Would you have done that a few months ago or just kept on eating until the chocolate was all gone? Small changes add up, celebrate that you made good choices and stopped yourself before it got out of hand. You are going to have days that you go over your calories, you just need to learn how to keep them under control and plan for them. Glad you didn't let this derail you.

Very true. 3 is less than 4. In the middle of a food blitz I often forget this simple but important concept. Thanks for reminding me.

emoticon I have been known to do the same. Already over? Hey, just go for broke. Then I feel awful. We can do better for ourselves. Today is a new day!!

Today is a new day!! Forget about what was or wasn't yesterday and move on. "Today I can/will ______. "(fill in the blank).
