Well well :-)

Saturday, December 17, 2016

I've been massively occupied with my younger son's family this year. They've been so unlucky with sickness - and nothing small - so I've been 'called in' for long periods as I'm the only grandparent with free time and they wanted consistency for the grandchildren. They live 70 miles away so I haven't been home much. I need repeat prescriptions for various medications which I've been ordering online and my partner has been posting to me. Eventually my Doctor insisted on my having an appointment with him as I've had no checkups all year and he couldn't justify the continued repeats. Rather grumpily I came home and saw him and went into the system for various checks and tests to see that my health status hasn't changed. In the midst of all this I had put on five pounds and had been struggling to lose them again with no success. Very frustrating and I've been pretty bad tempered about it, frankly. Yesterday - as part of a check up - I had to stand on the nurse's scales and it turns out I've lost 12 pounds as well as the 5 I've been struggling with!!! I knew my clothes were looser but foolishly I didn't want an NSV - I wanted to SEE it on the scales. Good lesson for me! Off to buy new scales for home today with a big smile on my face!
I'd never have stuck out the efforts I've made if it weren't for Spark and their great tools and contact with good friends here emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Yes, time for some new scales, I'd say. But, what a nice surprise! Glad your doing so good and Dr. had a good report for you! SP sure does help you keep going...I can really attest to that myself, as you know. Hope your family gets better soon. emoticon emoticon
You deserve a really nice fancy digital scale! emoticon
