Hello, wall - Core de Force, day 17

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Man. I had another 63 minute workout this morning (MMA Power & Core Kinetics). I started out fine, but didn't get far before I realized it was going to be an ugly workout. I fatigued quickly. I finished both parts of the workout, but it wasn't pretty. I had to slow down a lot to keep my form decent, so I felt like I just slogged through it. Uff.

I think I need sleep primarily, a bit more protein, and better carbs. My husband is a very "carb-y" person, but he prefers white rice, white bread, white potatoes. You get the picture. He does the majority of the cooking, especially at dinner, which is my biggest meal of the day. So it's easy to just go with what he's cooked. But I need to upgrade the carbs.

But foremost: REST. It's a busy time of year. I'm not resting well, either in quality or quantity. I'm getting up slightly earlier than normal to accommodate longer workouts and not going to bed earlier to compensate. I'm stressed out from all the holiday hubbub. I have more evenings where I'm picking through Christmas party food, so my meals aren't as balanced as they should be. It's a struggle! I deal with a little depression during this time of year, too, which adds to the fatigue. I keep telling myself, "You need some sleep, dude." I have to start listening to myself.

Note: Core de Force is a BeachBody program. If you have questions, I know an independent BB coach who can answer questions, give you guidance, and help you order what you need. (She is NOT into the hard sell, just wants to help others succeed.) Holler and I'll hook you up with her.

Good for you for persevering and seeing your workout all the way through, that can be hard. I only got 30 min. on the bike this evening, really tired, I think for me it's the really cold weather, it make me want to hibernate and baby it's cold up here, wind chill will be in the - tonight.

It sounds like you have some tweaking to do on your food, you'll get it figured out.
