End of the year 2016

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

Two years ago, I weighed 285 pounds. I started walking, just up and down the halls in my apartment, and tracking what I eat. I lost about 40 pounds. Summer of 2015, my aunts, my husband and kids went to California and had a mini family reunion at my parent's house. My aunt Marilyn got me on Spark People. I had continued through the first few months of this year to get down to 215. Then life happened, and some of the weight came back on. I am up to 226. I am working on maintaining my exercise, trying to track, but don't always do it successfully. And the last two months have been difficult. My mom has been sick and my aunt is sick. But as we go into the beginning of this next year, I plan to work on getting back down in my weight. I want to get under 200. I need to not put myself down if I fail, just do mini steps, go back to what worked at the beginning. Walk, track my food. Tell myself that I can do this.
12/19/16 I have been keeping on track. Exercising and added the last two nights while at work, exercise on my lunch break. The last two days have done more than 60 minutes activity with steps above 10000. Weight today was down to 224.9.

Setting goals is the first step and I'm glad you did. Years ago, I started my journey by walking around the house too. Take it one day at a time and keep pushing! You can do it!
