First blog/progress?

Monday, December 12, 2016

Today I'm sitting here trying to find the motivation not to give up, and it's hard. I actually like going to the gym and I enjoy weight lifting, however, I am still not making quite the weight loss progress I'd like to make. However, I will say that I'm pretty proud of my progress in the gym. It takes so much more for me to get out of breath and I easily spend 1 to 1.5 hours at the gym. Today I hit a new weight bench pressing and surprised me and my trainer, and I'm pretty excited about that. It really annoys me though that I can do so well with my gym progress and still not lose the weight, and I'm really trying not to be discouraged, but I am. Hopefully, the rest will fall into place soon.

I figure the things we're doing here help us be HEALTHIER, so we're taking better care of ourselves and living longer, higher quality lives. That's a worthwhile outcome even if we never lose a single pound! (Although, over time, if we keep taking small steps in the right direction the scale WILL cooperate!)

That's just it, I work with a trainer, and she takes my measurements, and those aren't changing much either. I mean while those parts aren't changing much, I know I'm making progress, it's just I wish it were more well rounded..

Wow, it sounds like you've made some impressive achievements in the gym! Awesome!!!

I agree with the suggestion to take measurements. When I know I've stayed in the correct calorie range and am not seeing scale movements, I've checked and definitely had losses across my body, so I know I'm progressing.

You have made some great strides in your health and strength. Keep your chin up and don't get discouraged. The scale will soon show you some results if you don't give up. Also, are you taking measurements? Sometimes, what we can't see on the scale will show when we take measurements or in the size clothing we wear. emoticon emoticon

Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Don't give up. Focus on health. I got so discouraged last time I tried to lose weight I gave up. That didn't do me any good here I am back The beginning again
