Swirling Brain Continues

Did not connect with the real estate agent in Charlotte despite several rounds of calls. It's hard to be patient. I am not in a hurry, but there is a lot to do in the next 8 months. I know I will hate the weather in Charlotte, I know food and utilities will cost more, but, if I can get into housing that I can afford, even with no raise in the foreseeable future, this will be a good move in the long run.

I went to college in Arkansas, so I am not unfamiliar with the uncomfortable combination of heat and humidity, but that was decades ago. I won't be on easy street, but, if things go right, I won't have to have multiple jobs just to make ends meet....

This is going to be a long period....

Good luck! have you tried looking online as well? I know there are lots of websites for house hunting that will put you in touch with the realtor for the houses you are interested in.

Sounds like you are actually leaning to this new adventure. Food and utilities would cost more there than in California? Hmmm. But if you did not have to get a second job.. You do have to consider your health issues and the fact you are getting older and need more stability rather than constant uncertainty.

Good luck!! Not sure what kind of weather you are used to. I'm near Charlotte visiting my mom at the moment, pretty dang chilly and I'm used to south Florida,

I hope it works out for you :)
