My scale played a horrible, nasty, awful joke on me this morning.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

So I weighed myself in the afternoon yesterday. I usually do this the day before weigh in day. That weight was 226. So today, my new weigh-in day, (It changed because of the requirements of the Scarlet Dragons group) I got on my newish scale. I've had it for several months. And it flashed at 180!!! For a moment I was thrilled. Onderland! Oh my gosh! I did it. Then it dawned on me, 40lb OVERNIGHT? The scale must be broken. So I borrowed a family member's scale. 224. That makes MUCH more sense, of course. But for one glorious moment, I'd thought I'd done it, and done it spectacularly. emoticon What a horrible trick. :(

So you were down two pounds! Yes! Hooray!

In a very short while, all those one-to two-pound losses will accumulate, and you will be in Onederland! It might even happen during the Winter Challenge, my fierce Dragon friend! However, when we lose too quickly, it tends to come back on even more quickly. Slow but steady. Early in the Spring Challenge may be the time when you see that number "2" change to a "1". That is SOON, my friend!

My issues are different, so I lose at a snail's pace. I anxiously await 1/2 pound weekly losses adding up to a five-pound total loss in a ten week challenge. It is what it is, and my body does what it does. We will both succeed, at our own pace, and in our own time.

    Stay strong!
