SparkBlog 11/27/16 Heating the house.

Sunday, November 27, 2016

I was determined not to turn my heat on until December. It has been pretty cold this past few days, down to the 30's overnight. I think it won't be too much longer before I call Duke energy to come out and turn the gas on! I have them turn it off in the early spring because they charge a fee to have it hooked up, even if it is not being used. This fee was 25 dollars/ month, but that has gone up and is now maybe 35 dollars/month. I will have to wear socks to keep my feet warm until I get them out here!

Have a warm Sunday all !

I could not live in your house! I would be too cold. I use a space heater in my bedroom and have a wall AC/heater unit in my living room (it cools and heats. the heating costs more than the cooling) I am trying to only use my heat at night, but is hard when it rains all day. I live in Northern California.

Only 3 days left! You're a very disciplined person! That's amazing. Maybe tomorrow you can schedule to have it turned on December 1st. WOW that's Thursday! Seems like last week I was sitting on the rocks watching the ocean and wishing for a breeze.

I live in the country in west Texas and we have propane so if I don't use it I have it. I am so glad I do not have to worry about gas companies. Right now it's 64 degrees here and I love it...
