Is Tomorrow the Day?

Friday, November 18, 2016

I feel like I should start with clarification, since it seemed like I was saying I don't like blogging in my previous blog, and it also seemed like I was disappointed about no one wanting my letters.

But neither is the case!

I like blogging. I didn't mean that blogging is hard. I meant blogging on command is hard! I can go months without blogging, until I have something that I want to blog about. Having this challenge this week was great, because I got to get a bunch of ideas out of my head and into the world, but it was also difficult, because I do not have that many ideas, unfortunately.

It was also nice to get out there and comment on other people's blogs. I liked that quite a lot, because I got to "meet" new people and touch base with others.

Today is the last day of the entire 8-week Challenge! I was a real stinker on this one. I think tomorrow I will weigh in under my starting weight for the first time since the Challenge began. Every Saturday would be a disaster, even if the weigh-ins throughout the week were fine. Of course, given that, there is a very real possibility that I will STILL weigh more tomorrow than my starting week, which would be really annoying. But it happens.

So we'll see.

You don't have to wait until Saturday for the weigh-in. My other challenge has a Wednesday WI and I just use that for both since I was often getting two different numbers each week. I like a Wednesday Weigh-in it seems to be my lowest of the week! I have time to correct any weekend damage!

I love stickers too, but hate writing since I feel I have nothing to really say. I haven't had a chance to read all your blogs this week or even comment on the ones I did read. However I put the one about patience and driving into practice on Thursday morning. I had to drive from Falls Church to Vienna and back for my doctor's appointment and each time I was tempted to be annoyed I thought about your blog. I am very good as a passenger at reminding my fiancé that when he is annoyed with other drivers that it has nothing to do with him - "No, they are not trying to ---- you!" He seems convinced he is their target. Thanks for your words on the topic.

Good luck with the weigh-in, but remember, "it ain't nothin' but a number". There are so many other things that mean you are getting healthier: what you eat, how active you are, how you think or feel about food, your self image". It goes on and on. I find that I suffer "blank page syndrome", too. Then I read someone else's blog and it triggers a whole flood of ideas. Then it's time to go to work, and that flood of ideas often evaporates before there is time for me to capture them. I figure it's OK, though, as I still thought those thoughts, making me better than I was before.

I like blogging, too, and look forward to getting back into it. BEATLETOT, please don't stop blogging just because the challenge is over. I really enjoy your blogs!

Good luck tomorrow! You have lots of tomorrows, though, so remember that if your results aren't all that spectacular. Thank God for lots of tomorrows. They just keep on coming!
