What a drag this week has been! I mean, like, physically, I had to drag myself through this week! But it's over and today is an even better Friday than most because I took the day off as a vacation day and I'm trying to get caught up with some tasks. I also have a doctor appt later today. It's mostly just a sort of checkup and I'm going to ask about getting a referral to see a nutritionist. I've been wanting to go see a professional nutritionist for a while now because I have specific medical issues as well as some personal hurdles that make eating healthy difficult. (Plus, to be honest, I have no willpower when it comes to junk food and that is the main reason why I am overweight. I just want to be real about that so that I'm not being seen as unaccountable. I have lots of issues, most are my own fault, and I own that.) So, I want to sit down and talk with someone who can help me make realistic changes and also make compromises. It's easy to get so fed up with my laundry list of physical problems due to my weight and then to throw my hands up (that's called cardio!) and order a whole kit from Dr Hyman off of tv and say "No more food from a box! No more food with more than 3 ingredients!" But how long with that last? A week, maybe. I want to be real and honest with myself and I need some help doing that. Well, I can be honest with myself; that's not the problem. The problem is being honest with myself and not hating myself and getting masochistic and unproductive.
Enough of that for now.
