Disappointment in me

Monday, November 14, 2016

I feel like I was doing so well in the beginning. I was walking, I was eating well, I was feeling great! Now, I seem to have lost my edge the past couple of weeks. A lot of it has to do with me being lazy, but there are a few other factors making life difficult for me.

First, my husband's work schedule is killing me! He gets off of work at 11pm. We only have one car, so I can't let him take himself to work because I have stuff to do (like babysit and pick up my oldest from school) in the afternoon/evenings. I need to come up with some sort of plan to make my life a little bit easier. I'm supposed to get up at 5:30am with my daughter. I have barely been getting up with my son at 6:45am.

I have no energy. I'm tired all the time. I've been drinking more at night. Mostly to make myself fall back asleep after picking my husband up from work. It's not a good thing.

Well, enough with all the bad stuff. I need to go get some yard work done!

It is hard to stay motivated and have the energy you need when you don't get enough sleep. I like Linda's suggestions. Also you might benefit from a nap even if it's only 10 or 15 minutes.

It often happens that we start off strong...but it isn't always easy to keep motivated day after day. I honestly find reading others' blogs and Spark articles help inspire me. My suggestion is to come to Spark everyday even if for a short time. Is there a short exercise video or exercise program on TV that you can watch? Perhaps, you can figure out a small walk that you can take, even if around the parking lot, while you pick up your oldest from school? Just find something that works for YOU... emoticon
