5% Fall Challenge 2016 - blog #1

This is the first blog of this weeks challenge. We are heading into the final week of the 8 week challenge so I hope to pull up my socks and finish with a winning week. During this challenge my weight has not varied much but unfortunately it has gone up from my first weigh in. The good news is that it has remained nearly constant since the second weigh in. This is good, given the information from several weeks ago that most people gain weight during the 10 weeks before Christmas, what with all the parties, goodies and meals associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas.
For this week I am hoping that entering a blog daily will keep me focused on eating appropriately portioned meals and avoiding those random eatings.
I plan to join the 5% Winter Challenge starting in January.
