Day by Day

I think I might have been ill the last two days. Allergies or something, not sure. Not much got done, I know that...and lots of stuff needed to be done. Ah, well. Maybe tomorrow.

Yesterday's block - Jack in the Pulpit - did get done. Kinda dig the teapot fabric and the pattern is fun. This would make a good secondary pattern in a full size quilt.

Today's block - Mosaic Rose - was fun, but is time consuming. Can't strip piece or double up on piecing. Have to build it from the inside out, one layer at a time. Would have been better if the pattern's cutting instructions were accurate. I quite enjoyed the monochromatic palette today.

I remember reading about a real estate agent who would take in a lot of quilts and hang them in houses she was trying to sell to add to the "homey" feeling of the house. After one woman bought a house and the people had moved out she came in and said "why this isn't the house I bought, because I bought the one with the quilts." emoticon I remember once a real estate agent saying "People don't buy your house, they buy your furniture."

Beautiful. Nicely done. You'll have to show us the finished quilt. It will be unique. Friends' family had sent family/friends plain white cloth to embroider ssome hung special to bride & groom. Family then quilted it into wedding gift. Wonderful ! !
