so I took a tumble off of my bike yesterday... and sprained my wrist.

you know, one would think that I would learn to STAY ON THE BIKE instead of falling after the past 2 bike injuries I've had... but I guess not...

now I have to stay off my bike for the next 5 days or so.
BOOOO.
not a fan...

and I've been really bad at tracking what I'm eating...

also, the doctors have told me I need to learn to relax and stretch out (my leg muscles are ridiculously tight)... they suggested that I take up yoga... if it doesn't get any better, then I'm possibly looking at physical therapy. :
anyhoo, my apartment needs cleaning badly!!

I have the exact same problem with my legs. Common among dancers, I've been told, because it's so easy to cool down inadvertently and then dance again on cold muscles because we take a break in our class. I've been told to combine massage therapy with a ballet class (a good ballet class spends 30 minutes, at least, on stretching). I'm just getting started, so I'll let you know if it helps me any.

Yikes! I hope the wrist gets feeling better! I know what you mean about not tracking food well. Just remind yourself how much it helps to keep us on track. Good luck with the wrist and getting back to biking soon.

I've been thinking about getting a bike lately. I used to ride my bike EVERYWHERE when I was a kid, but I haven't been on a bike in at least 12 years. I'm so afraid to fall off and hurt myself, I keep picturing breaking something or dislocating stuff. Good for you for getting right back on even after getting hurt!

I have a few yoga DVDs that I use, it is a great way to stretch out your legs. I highly recommend trying it. Be sure to get the tools to go along with it though - mat, brick and straps. They will help you with poses that you aren't flexible enough for yet and keep you from overstretching and hurting yourself.
