November 2016 measurements + updates

Hello again! Since my last blog post, I have been sticking with it and starting slow. I haven't really started exercising yet (some days work kicks my ass enough), but I have been logging my meals again and paying attention to where I'm at for the day for consumed vs burned. Since the last blog post which hasn't even been a week yet, I've already lost 4.4 pounds! I know it's water weight and bloating and such, but still I count that as a victory! There are a couple things I hadn't updated you guys on. So this year my feet and ankles have been swelling pretty bad in the afternoons and even after going for walks. I went to the doctor for it because I was afraid it could be a sign of something serious, but the doctor wasn't concerned and they put me on a water pill which has been working. I know I need to lose weight and get healthier for this problem to completely go away. I don't want to have to be on any medication, but for now I'll have to. Also for a while now, I've fallen back into turning to what I called my poison in the past... chips. I hate to admit it, but I need to be honest at least for myself. I had been eating practically a full bag of chips just about every day. I'm not sure exactly when I started, but it hasn't been too long. Maybe a couple months? I stopped when I wrote my last blog and started my journey up again last week. I'm sure those 4.4 pounds I lost were just from me not eating chips and I'm expecting more weight loss to come from it soon. I'm proud of myself for resisting the temptation!

Recently my job had their annual Blueprint For Wellness screening which is for your health insurance to get a discount. I participate every year and it seems that some of my blood tests have been getting worse. Slowly, but still worse. This year was the same in terms of that, but I did have one thing come back that hasn't before... my iron! It was low, which is strange to me. I have a physical this Friday, so I'll be going over the bloodwork with my doctor and we'll see what she says about that, but I just don't understand why my iron would be low. I'll update again once I find out.

I think that's all for updates for now... here are my beginning measurements for this journey! These are in pounds and inches and I am measuring at the biggest part.
