It's been awhile since my last blog post. I've been so busy lately that it seems like I haven't had a lot of time for me. I may not have had much time to blog, but I haven't given up! I've been logging in and spinning my wheel consistently for 53 days now. I think my highest streak was somewhere around 74 days. I may have been logging in, but I haven't been tracking very well though.
I somehow haven't had the motivation to walk ever since my family was in town the weekend before last. I did go for a short walk with my mom a little over a week ago on Friday, but after that it just didn't happen. I did all the cooking while they were here too (for 4 days! And boy, was it a long 4 days!). At least I was in control over what went into my body during that time. All except for 1 meal, and that was when my Grandmother insisted that she treat us to a buffet lunch. I ate more than I should, but it was relatively enjoyable. Although the food at the buffets here leaves something to be desired... they aren't very good.
As I mentioned before, I had a fairly nice visit with my family a week and a half ago. The only thing I wish would be different is the relationship between my mother and grandmother. They can't have a conversation without sniping each other's heads off! Oh well, it's out of my control and I only have to deal with them in small doses. It really gets old playing peacekeeper between them.
I've also been watching my friend's 2 year old. It's usually only for about an hr a day a few days a week The little girl is a doll! She is so much fun to be around, and so curious about everything. A lot of the time she gets stuck in parrot mode and just repeats everything I say, lol.
Last night we went trick-or-treating. Yesterday was also my youngest's birthday. He turned 9!! We had my family of 4, and her family of 5. It made for quite the group with 6 kids and 3 adults! There was a ghost, a butterfly, batman, superman, a mad scientist, and an angry bird. None of us adults dressed up this year. I would have liked to, but with a 50 lb gain over the summer I had nothing that fits anymore!
The Angry Bird costume that took me 3 weeks to complete!
Our pumpkins that we carved. Mine was the butterfly and took nearly 5 hrs for me to finish!
Even with all of this going on, not tracking my food, nor making the best food choices and not exercising I still lost 2 lbs! I probably could have lost more, but I'm happy with at least some progress. I honestly thought I would see a gain this morning instead of loss.
Now comes November. A new month, a fresh start. I resolve that I will exercise more, eat healthier, and track my food more consistently! Happy sparking everyone!
