October Recap, November Goals - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Overall I'd say October was a success.

The Good:
I lost 1.8 pounds
I exercised 26 times (on 24 days)
I mostly stuck to my training plan

The Bad:
I stayed in calorie goal only 8 times

So, here's the calendar. A happy face = exercise, a star = stayed in calorie range. I don't feel quite as bad about the stars because many days I was literally 10-30 calories over and I don't think that's the end of the world. But also not sticker worthy. :)



And here's my self-created training plan for this relay race (which is THIS WEEKEND!!) and how I have done. You'll see I skipped the 7-7.5 mile runs, but my leg is officially 6.75 and I am pretty confident going into this weekend that I'll be fine. And my times have gotten faster so yay! I didn't exactly run my ass off, but I do think it's at least shrinking a little.



I think I'm going to sign up for a Thanksgiving Day 10K since I'm properly trained for it. I have found that having the calendar and the training plan has made me much more accountable. I will keep it up through Thanksgiving and depending on the weather we'll see how long I can keep running outside. I do NOT run in rain, snow, sleet, ice, or anything else I find objectionable.

November Goals:
* Lose 2 pounds
* Exercise 25 days
* Stay in calorie goal 20 days

Totally doable. I am traveling for a week this month but will be home for Thanksgiving so I can keep it in check. I'm going to be packing lots of protein bars for Korea because I am positive I will have food issues there.

    I love this chart! I do something similar on my calendar but I just have one sticker for "did I stick to all my goals today (planned exercise, food and water)?" I think it might be more gratifying to break it down though, because then I'll be able to give myself a sticker for staying within my food goal even if I didn't do my planned workout. Thanks for the idea. Visuals are so pwetty! emoticon
