Weigh - In -- 30Oct16

Sunday, October 30, 2016

Wow!! it's been almost a month since my last blog. I haven't been doing much for my health since then. My cardio streak went by the wayside about a week ago, but I re-started it today with 21 minutes of WATP.

My eating has been so-so, with lots of things that weren't the best, but still trying to get in more freggies. Over the course of the past month, I gained a couple of pounds. The past week I have been working at reining in the food consumption and making better choices like skipping the Cheetos and spending those 300 calories on something way more nutritious (or not spending them at all...).

I have been keeping up with drinking at least 64oz. of water a day.

Getting back on track - these are my goals for this week --

At least 64 oz. of water a day

At least 10 minutes of cardio a day

At least 4000 steps - except Sunday

Recording food in the nutrition tracker

In other news, our area had a big storm about three weeks ago that dumped over 3 in. of rain. Since our area has a river valley that is pretty wide, there was a lot of water running in places that don't normally have water. The local creek flooded for about a week and it is just now getting down to just above normal. Our town is surrounded by a dike, so we don't flood, but there is still water standing in the low spots around town.

There are many big round bales of hay that have been soaked in the fields outside of town. This rain event was not nearly so bad for farmers as the one just before Labor Day two years ago as a lot of the hay had already been removed from the fields and a lot of the grain harvested.

Have a great week, everyone !

Good luck with your goals! I have been trying a healing diet. This means going gluten, sugar, corn, soy and dairy free, which are the most inflammation causing foods you can eat. It sure cuts out a lot of things you don't really need. I was a big fan of Cheetos, but now don't even think of them. When I think of the harm they can do to me, its not worth it.
An early snowfall Oct 5, caught our farmers with some of the crop not off. All the dark days and moisture have been an issue as there has been no drying :-( Weather issues sure hurt breadbasket states!

Glad to see you blogging again and working to get back on track.

Great job keeping up with your water despite losing track of the rest.

We sure could have used that much rain here. We did get quite a bit but not enough as usual.

    Have a sparky week!

It's a shame that some areas get so much rain and other areas none. We need rain here now.

Glad to see you getting back on track!!

emoticon I have to start a 'do-over' too! Getting back into walking every day and better about my eating. Leaving those cheetos and fritos alone!! Drinking my water is never a problem but everything else has just gone to the dogs.
