Beck Ch 29 Overcoming Challenges Resist Food Pushers

Sunday, October 30, 2016

I thought Food Pushers didn't bother me much. At my age and because I don't like sweets I easily resist sweets. I don't even like fruit. I thought I was safe from food pushers. Wrong.

Would you like a bite? A very common question in my family. We share. Is it the person offering the bite that's the food pusher? Yes. The greater problem is that I am a food pusher in that scenario, too

I often look forward to taking that bite. I count on family members to order things I would never order myself. Fried or fatty whatever. I could ask family members to NOT offer a bite but more importantly, I need to change my thinking and behavior about accepting that bite.

It's my decision when I take the bite. I need to own it. I need to become comfortable saying NO CHOICE to myself. I need to learn to track those "bites." EVERY BITE COUNTS!
