Back in Group Fitness

Hi All and Happy Halloween,

I have already started munching on candy. I must stop because I know how Halloween munchies can somehow extend into the Christmas munchies! Been there and done that! I also know that no amount of exercise will trump (not to be political) good nutrition!

After my hip replacement surgery I thought I could just go back after 3 months into my group fitness classes. Au contraire. I have been rehabbing one-on-on with Sarah who runs the Thursday group. Last week I finally made it back into the Thursday group under Sarah's watchful eye. I was so proud of myself! I have been doing my rehab exercises faithfully on my own. I still have the half hour one-on-one's because I need to be safe. I do spin and zumba classes but adapt everything to low impact. I am determined to get strong so that I can delay or perhaps never have to have hip replacement on my left hip. They say that osteoarthritis is a bilateral disease but hey so far, so good!
