Re-reading my old blogs to get some motivation!

I've been slacking off in the eating and exercising department. I just read some of my old blogs to try and kick start my good habits again! The year is almost over, and I want to make sure I am on the right track before tax season starts!

I did make three kinds of soup so far. Last night I made roasted sweet potatoes and carrots. I am freezing some of what I make so I can have it during tax season. I hate not having the time to cook more often when I have to work late nights. I am going to make some turkey chili this weekend and maybe some stuffed peppers. I stopped buying snacky food for the house. Hopefully that will curb my appetite for eating anything that tastes good!

I have been bringing oatmeal and yogurt and my protein shakes for lunch to work everyday! I need to find some more items to bring with me everyday. I almost ran out of protein bars, so I want to buy more of them also.

Hopefully I can get myself to go to the gym soon too! My husband says he wants to go but never pushes for it. I have to be the one who says WE ARE GOING. Two times I wanted to go we went to the park instead to walk around. At least I got some exercise, but I want to get back into the gym exercise - especially since I am paying for the membership!

    I love rereading all of my old blogs! Have you ever seen the site Once a Month Meals? It's all stuff you can prep and freeze. I have tried several recipes and they were delicious!

    I have given up on my husband working out with me. He use to say he didn't because I went to early so I would wait. Of course we didn't go. Now I just go on my own and it isn't because he isn't welcome but I need to do it. The meals sound good I have friends that do menu's with shopping list. All the meals you make and freeze to pop in the crock pot. They have recipes that they have found that take all the thinking out of it. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I do hope you can get to the gym to de-stress and sorting out the food department will help you too! I take a jar of müsli mixed with yogurt and milk to work and eat it with a pear or banana for lunch. Hope your mom is doing ok, sweetheart. Hugs!
