Getting Better

Last night I took both a unisom and an ibuprofin, went to bed at 9PM, and didn't get up for 10 solid hours. I FEEL LIKE A NEW WOMAN! My back does still hurt a bit, but it feels a whole lot better than it did yesterday.

I had my first (ever) chiropractor appointment this morning. He showed me a few exercises to strengthen some stabilizer muscles and then cracked my back from a few different angles and then sent me on my way. He seems like a very nice guy and he pointed out a few things I already knew about my body like my tilted hips and also a few things I didn't realize like my right knee is a lot wobblier than my left. I'm not sure wobbly is a medical term, but when he had me do one exercise I could totally feel the difference so he's probably right.

I made a follow-up appointment for a week from now and I will do the exercises he showed me and we'll see how it goes.

In unrelated news, the scale is playing mean tricks again, but I'm pretty sure it's a hormonal thing at this particular moment so I am not going to freak out about it. I really want to hit the 20 pound milestone before my next trip and it's looking a bit doubtful but I'm going to try my hardest.

    Hope your back will be better soon. I have had problems with mine for last 15 years. Its been more or less fine this past year. I stil do exercise my physical therapist gave me to strenghten leg, back and core muscles. It really helped
