Family Time At The Keys

It was nice to visit with my youngest daughter, her hubby, granddaughter. I had not seen them in several months. They came to Florida to visit. We drove 5 hours south to meet them in the Florida Keys. We had a nice view from out hotel room. I always find it nice to sit waterside and just look and meditate.
We took a ride on a glass bottom boat. Always fun to look at sea life. A relaxing trip.
We drove to Key West to enjoy the sights. It was a perfect day. Low 80s and blue skies. This is normal for southern Florida in October. The landmark shown is the southern most point of the United States.
I normally do not like to eat things such as alligator. However. our son in law was excited to get this as an appetizer. I did not want to be the ONLY one avoiding it. So I did follow along and ate some. Just as everyone says, it tasted a bit like chicken. lol
I wish that I had taken more shots in the streets of Key Largo. There are colorful chickens and roosters walking all through the streets. Very pretty and unique. Of course, the downside is that you have to stop suddenly to avoid hitting one. I especially enjoyed seeing the chickens with their baby chicks. I wish I had taken a picture of the little family.
An article explains about Key West and free roaming chickens.
