Vanity sizing? You bet!

Friday, October 21, 2016

This week I pulled out an old pantsuit that I've saved because I love it. Even though it is terribly out of fashion. Tried it on and was thrilled that it fit and it was a size 12! Yep.
Just bought a pair of Banana Republic chinos in a size 8 and they are loose on me, but a pair from two years ago fits just fine and they're a size 10. Same with pants from Talbots.

And Chicos? forget about it! With them I'm a size .5 or....every time I go and try on something I go down a size even though my weight hasn't changed.

The message here? Don't get hung up on size. Find a style that fits you and looks good on you don't worry about the size. Size really doesn't matter emoticon

A little confused... saying "You bet!" sounds like you are in favor of vanity sizing. In that case, you wouldn't be able to tolerate those size 10's. But I"m in complete agreement with you about cherishing clothes you like no matter what their size. I've got various sizes in my wardrobe, too. If they look good and feel good, they're in!

You are so right - I am still a little addicted to the number but I'm getting better at it. LOL. Like scales - these are only numbers. And with clothing, they're somebody else's numbers at that!
