Where does my joy come from today....

.... daughter Julia was attacked by her cousin's bullterrier yesterday. 4 bites, barely escaped him and had to bash his head in the door numerous times before he finally let go off her foot (which broke off a small splinter of bone in the process). Bite wound on right hand, both thighs and right foot. Out of work for at least a week. The joy in that? It wasn't my mother, who also sometimes takes care of the dog and if she had gone down, it might have ended badly. So as her twin sister Sarah said to me... with all the praying you do, if you truly believe it is working, then maybe Jesus made sure Julia was the one attacked, and not one of the grandparents. That made us smile. Leave it to the non believer to point out the Jesus moment. Thank you Jesus.

....hubby and I met daughter Sarah at the DMV this morning to put the car she has been driving for the past 4 years finally in her own name. We have one more year to pay on it, but she insured it in her name and was so very proud to have this old car to her own name now. It's the little things that make her happy.

.... driving home "Stairway to Heaven" came on in the car from my Spotify Playlist as we were driving by the little cemetery I want to be buried in. The song always makes him think of his Mom who passed away from breast cancer when he was only 18. There is an urn with her ashes at the little brother's house. He asked me if I thought it would be nice to bury her in that cemetery. That made me so very happy. I would love for her to finally be laid to rest, and I would love for her to find her final resting place in our little village. He started texting the other brothers and everyone agreed that would be very nice. So he got to planning. I never had the pleasure to meet her, but I hear she was a wonderful woman with an amazingly kind and gentle heart.
